TALENTED residents competed for a £100 prize in a competition at a fun day on a local housing estate.
The ‘Ray Lodge has Got Talent’ show held at the Ray Lodge Estate in Woodford Green, last Saturday (September 3), attracted singers, dancers and even a gymnast.
Thirteen-year-old Jade Sarpong won the competition after wowing the judges with her singing and keyboard playing.
Millie McCumesky, of the Ray Lodge Tenant Management Organisation, helped organise the contest.
She said: “It was a great event, and all the acts were really good.
Hopefully we’ll do it again next year and get even more people to take part.”
The talent show was the centrepiece of a day which also saw children enjoying a bouncy castle and entertainment from a magician.
Visitors also had the chance to get a henna tattoo and take part in a karaoke event.
Ms McCumesky added: “I didn’t do any karaoke because I didn’t want to scare people away with my singing.
“Everyone who did have a go seemed to enjoy giving it a go, though.”
