A DIABETIC care worker slept in a church to raise money for its renovations.
Gayna Brown, 44, who works at Spinney care home in Forest View, Chingford, suffers with type two diabetes and spent five nights without insulin at St Matthew's Church in Ponders End.
She took glucose tablets to keep her strength up during her stay, which started on Tuesday, August 30. Ms Brown received £250 sponsorship from Carebase which owns the Spinney.
