A PUBLIC meeting for those living near Walthamstow Stadium to discuss proposals to turn the site into a housing estate has been postponed.
Residents in Empress Avenue, Chingford, had been hoping to hold the meeting at Rushcroft School next Tuesday evening (September 13).
Organisers wanted the council to attend to explain the planning process for London and Quadrant's application to build a 300 home complex and leisure centre at the venue in Chingford Road.
But it will now be held at a later date. Residents will be notified by post when the new meeting is arranged.
The consultation period for making comments on L&Q's plans ended last week but the council says it will still consider submissions as long as possible until the application is voted on by a planning committee.
