A CONTROVERSIAL plan to build an extension to a Chingford house has been approved despite dozens of objections from neighbours.
Lewis Hall sought permission to build a two-storey extension on the side of his property in Dove House Gardens, off Landsdown Road in Chingford.
He also applied to erect a single-storey extension at the rear of the house.
However, 24 households objected to the proposal, claiming the extension have a negative impact on the appearance of the street.
The application was approved by the planning committee on Tuesday.
