A 22-YEAR-OLD has been charged with possessing a firearm following a police raids on suspected gang members.
Ritchie Ibeawuchi, 22, of Hazel Way in Chingford, was arrested during a clamdown on suspected gang members following a recent escalation in violence.
He was also charged with possession of a Class A drug. Bullets were fired at a home in Hazel Way at 1.40am on April 25, before another house in nearby Russell Road was targeted at 4.15am.
This prompted police to mount dawn raids across the borough on Friday and Monday.
Four arrested teenagers, including two 14-year-olds, were charged assaulting a member of staff at Tesco Express in Chingford Mount Road, Chingford on April 1.
Justas Milasevicius, 31, from Beresford Road in Walthamstow, was arrested for failing to appear in court to face a drink driving charge.
Jadeine Mills was earlier charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life after a dawn raid on May 7.
The 21-year-old, of Hall Lane in Chingford, was also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm and three counts of possession of ammunition.
