AN application from an insect breeding business to expand its premises was referred to the district development control committee.
The application by Peregrine Livefoods Ltd, that is based in Hastingwood Road, Magdalen Laver, near Ongar, to build two new outhouses was discussed at a meeting of Epping Forest District Council’s planning sub-committee last night (Wednesday, May 9).
Councillor Ken Avey said: “The application is for an area in the green belt but it is a business and what this country needs is more business.”
The application will be decided at the next meeting of the district development control committee on August 8. The committee decides on applications which involve a conflict between the district's planning priorities.
