A MAN was taken to hospital after being attacked at Walthamstow Stadium this morning.
Police were called to the stadium in Chingford Road, Chingford, after the man, believed to be in his 40s, suffered head injuries in a fight at about 9.40am today (May 14).
There are unconfirmed reports that the injured man is a security guard.
No-one has been arrested.
The site is set to be turned into a controversial 294-home housing development by owners London & Quadrant (L&Q) after the proposal was approved at a heated planning meeting last week.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson, who has the final say over the application, is set to decide on whether to pass the plan within the next fortnight.
