A TEENAGER who was stabbed in a fight at Walthamstow Central station has been discharged from hospital.
The 15-year-old boy, from Leyton, was knifed in the stomach several times on platform two of the overground stop at around 4.30pm last Thursday May 10.
A 16-year-old from Chingford was arrested at the scene and has since been released on bail.
Officers say they were called to reports of a row between a group of youths in the ticket hall lobby.
There are rumours it was gang-related.
There are also reports it started on a train, but police said today they believe the row started on a bus outside the station.
A spokesman said officers "are still very much appealing for anyone who was at the scene or has any information to come forward."
Detectives are continuing to examine CCTV footage to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact British Transport Police (BTP) on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 379 of 10/05/12.
Alternatively, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The incident caused major disruption in the area for several hours as train services were suspended and roads closed while police investigated.
