A FLOWER festival will be held in one of the district’s oldest churches.
There will be stalls selling goods including herbs and local produce and flower arrangements on show at the event in St Andrew’s Church in Greensted near Ongar, which was built in the 9th century and is believed to be the world’s oldest wooden church.
The festival will be held between 10am and 5pm on June 9 and Sunday, June 10, between 11am and 4pm.
All money raised at the event will be split between the church’s organ fund and the Ongar Club for the Physically Handicapped.
