FOUR talented young mathematicians put their heads together to find the formula for success at a prestigious maths competition.
The boys from Bancroft’s school in Woodford Green were crowned winners of the East of England Year 10 Maths Challenge Final, beating more than 30 other teams to the title.
Kavin Vijayakumar, Francis Clark-Murray, Amar Kalsi (all 14), and 15-year-old Sai Johal qualified for the final through their performance at the Regional heat in Hemel Hempstead before Easter.
And they got their sums right to take the prize at the University Of Cambridge on May 10.
Penny Thompson, Head of Junior Maths at Bancroft’s, said: "I'm extremely proud of the team for their stunning performance that led to this fantastic outcome."
