STUDENTS from Waltham Forest College helped brighten up a carehome when they painted a mural on one of its walls.
The team of nine youngsters created an image on the theme of the environment, including trees and other plantlife, at the Consensa Care Ltd home for autistic adults in Manor Park.
It was organised as part of a programme which aims to tackle environmental and social issues by using the "inspiration" of the Olympic Games.
Anthony Craggs, deputy manager of the home said he was "very impressed" with the students from the college, which is in Forest Road, Walthamstow.
He added: "The wall looks fantastic - the residents love it and it has really made an impact on the communal area."
