WOODFORD GREEN: Rain forces hospice to cancel Summer Fayre
A CHILDREN’S hospice has been forced to cancel its annual Summer Fayre because of the weather.
Haven House in Woodford Green was due to welcome The Only Way is Essex stars Sam and Billy Faiers to the event on Sunday (May 20).
But the hospice’s Chief Executive, Mike Palfreman, explained: “Our lovely wooded surroundings are saturated at present and with continuous rain forecast for the next week or so, it would be foolish and potentially hazardous to go ahead.”
The fundraising event has been rescheduled for July 22.
