WALTHAMSTOW: Man critical after street attack
A MAN is in a critical condition after being attacked in Palmerston Road, Walthamstow.
Police say the 26-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the incident, which happened at around 11.15pm on Sunday (May 13).
Officers were called by a passer-by who saw him lying in the street.
Michael Sammut, 28, of Palmerston Road, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the attack.
He was arrested on Tuesday (May 14) and has been remanded in custody.
