DOZENS of people took part in the annual tradition of "beating the bounds" on the border of Walthamstow and Leyton at the weekend.
The ceremony is held to celebrate the ancient ritual of marking the boundaries of Lammas Land, off Lea Bridge Road in Leyton, with sticks and branches.
Members of St Saviour's Church in Walthamstow also took part from the E17 end, while the Leyton procession was led by the New Lammas Lands Defence Committee.
