A PENSIONER was treated for smoke inhalation after her chip pan caught fire.
Fire crews from Ongar and Chelmsford found the blaze had already gone out when they arrived at the woman’s home in Norton Lane, Norton Mandeville, shortly after 3pm yesterday (Saturday).
Ambulance staff treated the 70-year-old for smoke inhalation and she was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
