A MEMORIAL service is set to mark two years since the murder of a man gunned down in Chingford.
The family of Wayne Powell, who was shot dead in Higham Station Avenue on July 5, 2010, want to invite friends of the 38-year-old father to a remembrance service at St John of Hackney Church in Hackney, where Mr Powell lived and grew up.
Father Rob said the family were still setting a date but hope to hold it around the anniversary of his death.
Mystery still surrounds who murdered the British Rail worker, who had no known links to gangs.
