A VETERINARY surgery manager cycled nearly 1000 miles to help raise £40,000 for charity.
Dan Cable, practice manager at Companion Care Vets in Chingford, cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats in just twelve days earlier this month in aid of Dogs for Disabled.
Mr Cable, also a partner of the vets in Hall Lane, rode between 60 and 100 miles a day with a team of other fundraisers to pay for training for two dogs which will help disabled people in their everyday lives.
He said: "Dogs for the Disabled is an amazing charity that really does transform lives and I would like to thank each and every person who has so generously sponsored me and the other members of our team – it really will make a huge difference to those individuals who rely on specially trained assistance dog."
