MUSCLEMEN were lost for words after receiving a visit from a bodybuilding legend.
American strongman, Ronnie Coleman, 48, popped into the Titanium Gym in Raven Road, South Woodford, on Monday to pose for photos with adoring fans who came from all over London to meet their hero.
Coleman’s name might not raise many eyebrows outside of the gym, but with a World Record eight Mr Olympia titles to his name, he is afforded VIP treatment by bodybuilders.
Joint owner of Titanium, Chris Soupashis, 40, said: “Ronnie is the Muhammad Ali of bodybuilding.
“We had around 200 people come to meet him and some of them were lost for words.
“It was a great honour for us to have him in the gym.
“We play his DVDs all day and shout his catchphrases ‘Lightweight Baby!’, ‘Yeah buddy!’ and ‘Nothing but a peanut!’ as we lift weights.
“He’s doing a tour of Britain and I think he was a little bit tired out by it all, but he’s a great guy – very polite and reserved.
“A lot of us were a bit star-struck to be honest.”
