PARENTS of children with epilepsy can get support, help and information thanks to a new scheme at a children’s hospice.
Haven House in Woodford Green has secured a grant of £17,500 from the Roald Dahl Marvellous Children’s Charity, The money will be used to provide training for local parents whose children experience seizures.
The Hospice will also produce a guide to share its findings with other hospices.
Melanie Rinaldi, whose son Kristian attends Haven House said: “These sessions are a real life-line for Kristian and our family. “Dealing with his seizures can be extremely difficult and frightening at times and this will dramatically improve the care I can give my son.”
