A COLLEGE has won a top award for being well run and a good place to work.
Leyton Sixth Form College, in Essex Road, picked up the Gold Investors in People (IiP) accolade at a ceremony in central London.
Only around three per cent of IiP winners achieve Gold standard and the college was also honoured with additional "champion" status, which means other groups can ask it for help and advice.
The IiP is awarded in recognition of good management and staff well-being at an organisation.
Delighted principal Kevin Watson said: “We try hard to make Leyton Sixth Form College a supportive and rewarding place to work and it is gratifying to know that our efforts have been recognised by such a prestigious national body.”
