A GOLF course caretaker was left tied up in a cupboard while masked men stole money and trophies.
The men turned up at the caretaker’s home armed with a knife and a crowbar and forced him to open the clubhouse at North Weald Golf Club in Rayley Lane before tying him up.
The caretaker escaped about an hour later and called police shortly before midnight on Tuesday (May 22).
He was treated for shock in hospital before being allowed to go home.
The robbers are thought to have got into the golf club along the fence near the driving range and police want to speak to anyone who saw anything unusual there on Tuesday night.
Witnesses should call Detective Sergeant Patrick Mullan at Harlow Target Offender Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
