The scene of the crash yesterday afternoon
AN elderly passenger in a car which ploughed into a South Woodford upholstery shop is in a critical condition.
The 75-year-old woman was taken to hospital with abdominal and chest pains following the incident yesterday (May 23).
She underwent surgery for internal bleeding and is now fighting for her life.
The male driver was also taken to Royal London Hospital and was treated for minor injuries.
He lost control of the Renault Clio and ploughed into the shop window of Rupert's Upholstery in Victoria Road, South Woodford, yesterday afternoon at about 1:15pm.
