THE elderly passenger of a car which crashed into a shop is now said to be in a critical but stable condition.
Following the incident on Wednesday afternoon (May 23), where the Renault Clio the 75-year-old woman was travelling in ploughed into the shop front of Rupert's Upholstery, in Victoria Road, South Woodford, she was taken to Royal London Hospital.
She was taken immediately into theatre because she was suffering from internal bleeding.
The driver of the vehicle, an elderly man, was also taken to Royal London Hospital and was treated for minor injuries.
