HUNDREDS of pounds were donated to a group which helps people learn computer skills when a new Tesco opened its doors last week.
I.T. for Everyone, a not-for-profit local group, received £500 from Tesco when its new Express store opened in Forest Road, Walthamstow, on Friday, May 25.
Computer tutor Amanda Simonson said: "I am really pleased to receive this funding for my project which will help me support even more people so that they can learn basic I.T skills.
"For older people in particular, it’s really important to be able to have an opportunity to learn how to use a computer in order to keep in touch with family, particularly younger family members."
