ARMED police swooped on Leytonstone High Road after a woman was reportedly hit on the head with a broken bottle.
Police say they were called to an unnamed business in the street, near the junction with Harrow Road, at 2.55am this morning (Monday May 28) and found a 36-year-old suffering from minor head injuries.
She was taken to hospital but her condition is not life-threatening.
There were reports of someone brandishing a gun at the scene but no firearm was recovered, a Met spokesman said.
It is thought the incident involved a row between the woman and a man, who fled the scene before police arrived.
Both the man and woman have accused the other of attacking them. The woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and police are hunting the man.
