CHILDREN will have the chance to meet their favourite authors and learn how to write their own stories at a book festival.
Writers including Joseph Theobald, Lyn Gardner and Linda Newbery will be reading from their work in the Zinc Arts Centre in Chipping Ongar High Street on Saturday, June 9.
There will also be creative workshops where children can learn about their favourite characters from the stories and how to tell their own tales.
The event lasts from 10am to 1pm and tickets cost £3.50, and one adult accompanying a child will be admitted for free.
