FIVE people are being questioned by police following the discovery of a body.
The dead man, believed to be 18, was found off Chigwell Road, close to Broadmead playing fields in Woodford Green.
Police were called to the scene yesterday at around 10.40pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed he was involved in a fight prior to his death.
The dead man is yet to be formally identified.
Five people were arrested near the scene, four men aged 26, 19, 20 and 29 and a woman aged 20.
Police could not say what they have been arrested on suspicion of.
A post-mortem will take place tomorrow in Walthamstow.
An incident room is open under Detective Chief Inspector John Sandlin from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.

A police spokesman said officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious near the bridge in Chigwell Road from Sunday evening through to Monday night.
In particular they are keen to trace the whereabouts of a blue Fiat Punto spotted in Courtland Close.
