SPRING was the star of a recent photography competition.
Furry goslings, amorous flies and sleek swans were among the entries of the Chingford Photographic Society's competition earlier this month.
One of the winning snaps in the internal competition shows three baby geese captivated by a fly hovering just above their heads, taken by Teresa Pavitt in Connaught Waters, off Rangers Road in Chingford.
Competitions head Malcolm Goodwin said: "We loved how unusual the picture was and how it captures the beauty of spring."
The pictures were all taken in or around Connaught Waters and Mr Goodwin said it was a great place for photographers.
"It's a gorgeous place to go because there's so much wildlife and such a variety of wildlife," he said. "These competitions are a great way for us to improve. I feel that they have brought people on a lot by pushing them and by them seeing each other's work and perhaps picking up new ideas."
