REDBRIDGE College is the most successful in London, according to figures published by the government this week.

Statistics published by The Data Service for 2010/11 show the college, in Little Heath, Barley Lane, outperforms all 31 of the capital’s other further education colleges for success rates.

The college achieved an overall success rate of 87.8 per cent which saw it placed within the highest 10 performing further education colleges in England.

The success rate statistics measure learner achievement on full-time and short courses at the college.

Redbridge College Principal, Theresa Drowley, said: “The success rate figures exemplify the high expectations we have for our learners – we are inspiring them to focus and build upon their strengths, to prepare them for university of the world of work.

“We promote a culture of high expectation and achievement, but we underpin this with an incredible level of support – we are a caring college with high aspirations for our learners.”

Redbridge College is holding an Open Day on June 23 between 10am-2pm.
