AIRCRAFT classic and modern from across Europe will descend on North Weald Airfield this weekend for a public display.
Organised by the Air Britain group of enthusiasts and historians, the two-day event will feature a collection of piper cub and grasshopper aircraft to mark the 75th anniversary of the first models coming off the production line.
The group will be launching its book on the history of the Percival Aircraft company which was responsible for producing the RAF’s Provost and Jet Provost trainers in the 1960s.
Visitors will also be able to take a look at a Percival Proctor which is currently undergoing restoration after sitting in a Swedish barn for the past 50 years.
The event is open from 9am on Saturday and Sunday (June 9 and 10), and more information is available from air-britain.com/flyin-about
