A SCHOOL has again been rated "satisfactory" by inspectors - but they say it is improving.
South Grove Primary, in Ringwood Road, Walthamstow, was found to have met basic standards in teaching and pupil achievement in a report published by education watchdog Ofsted this month.
It said school management was satisfactory but the governing body needed to develop further.
The report praised the good behaviour of pupils and found there were "notable signs of notable improvement" since the school's last inspection in 2008, when it was also judged satisfactory.
The report said: "This is a satisfactory school. It is not yet good because the improvements to teaching are not consistent enough to ensure that pupils regularly make good progress.
"The monitoring role of the governing body is not yet strong enough to hold the senior leaders fully to account to ensure fast improvement within the school."
