CHILDREN were honoured for working hard at school.
Pupils at Normanhurst School were presented with framed certificates, shields and cups by Chingford MP Iain Duncan Smith in front of 450 people on Friday, July 6.
Tara Shah, 4, was presented with a shield for making progress in her reception class, while 14-year-old Christopher Dennis received a framed certificate for winning the ISA National Art Competition.
Sixteen-year-old Matthew Newman was rewarded with the Gavin Cup for being highly commended in the Favonius Essay competition and in recognition of his work in history, science and Spanish.
