TEDDY bears were transported via zipwire down the side of a church during an event held to support the upkeep of the church bells.

The bears were checked-in at ground level before being hoisted in buckets up the church tower of High Ongar Church in High Street, Ongar.

Upon reaching the top they were harnessed and sent on a 50-metre trip back to the ground and reuinited with their owners.

Each participating child received a certificate.

In total £120 was raised for the church.
