CHILDREN are set to take their animal rights campaign to the House of Lords.
The pupils from Mayville Primary School in Leytonstone will enter Parliament to campaign against the use of real bear fur on royal guardsmen's helmets next week.
The kids from the school in Lincoln Street have interviewed Leyton MP John Cryer about the issue and have also delivered a letter to 10 Downing Street and the Guards Headquarters in Westminster to raise awareness of fake fur alternatives.
They will arrive at the Lords on Monday, July 16, after taking part in a London march about the issue with animal charity PETA this Saturday, dressed as bears and royal guards.
Author Anne Fine will also speak about what role children can play in developing a 'caring society'.
