AN oil rig worker charged with murdering a 39-year-old mother is due to enter a plea later this year.

Daniel Hodges, 30, who was renting a room in the house in Churchfields, Loughton, where Gillian Andrade was found stabbed on Sunday (July 8), appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today (Thursday).

After the preliminary hearing, Hodges was kept in custody and is due back at the court on October 29.

Ms Andrade, who police originally thought lived in Churchfields, but have now said is from River Road, Buckhurst Hill, was described by her family as a “much-loved mother and daughter”.

A post-mortem examination found she died of a single stab wound.
