PUPILS celebrated multiculturalism with a day of music, dance and food from around the world.
Children, parents and teachers at Dawlish Primary School in Leyton enjoyed dance styles including Bollywood, the Hakka from New Zealand and rock 'n' roll yesterday evening (July 12).
A total of 300 people then enjoyed a meal of traditional foods in the main hall of the school in Jesse Road.
Maxine Martin, 43, of parents group Friends of Dawlish, said: "It was a really lovely event.
"Everyone enjoyed themselves and with the dances and songs it got to the stage where it was Dawlish Has Talent.
"The event is so great because it helps children to appreciate and understand other cultures different to their own."
