A YOUNG rapper entertained children at a school fundraiser.
Cynikal - real name Tav Sanghera – performed some of his songs for pupils of St John’s RC school in Turpins Lane, Woodford Bridge.
The up and coming star is currently unsigned but he has already had his music played on radio stations including Radio One and Kiss FM.
He has also played at legendary jazz club Ronnie Scott’s near his home in Soho.
Cynikal, 24, went to Forest School in Snaresbrook as a youngster.
He said: “It’s great to come back to the local community.
“It was a very different gig to the ones I’m used to, but I think the kids enjoyed it.
“One of my songs is called ‘Losing my balance’ it’s all about keeping on the straight and narrow which is an important message for young people.”
St John’s is a special school with pupils ranging from moderate to high specialist needs.
Cynikal was taking part in their annual summer fete which raised money to help fund outdoor activities for the children.
