CHILDREN dressed as the Queen's guards and baby bears campaigned at Parliament this week against the use of bear fur in royal guards' helmets.
The pupils from Mayville Primary School in Leytonstone want the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to replace the bearskins which have covered the helmets for centuries with a fake fur alternative.
The kids from the school in Lincoln Street entered the House of Lords after campaigning outside with activists from animal rights group PETA to talk about their campaign on Monday, July 16, after previously interviewing Leyton MP John Cryer about the issue and delivering a letter to 10 Downing Street and the Guards Headquarters in Westminster to raise awareness of fake fur alternatives.
