CHILDREN from five schools will receive tickets to the Paralympic Games thanks to the generosity of a Rotary Club.
Members of the Leytonstone and Wanstead Rotary club presented a total of 256 tickets to the schools including St John's RC in Woodford Bridge and Ray Lodge in Woodford Green.
Rotarian Geoff Stimpson of Beresford Drive, Woodford Green, said: "We raised £2,000 to buy the tickets by holding lots of fundraising events including a series of quiz nights.
"We are delighted to give these youngsters a chance to take part in such a historic occasion."
