FIREFIGHTERS had to free a man after his finger became trapped in a hedge cutter.
Crews were called to a property in Tylers Close, Loughton, shortly after 2pm today (July 18).
An ambulance was also called to treat the injured man, who was in his 50s.
Essex members of the Fire Brigades Union are on strike today, but 120 firefighters are continuing to work. The strike will end on Thursday (July 19) at 9am.
