A MEETING of the Save King George Hospital campaign will take place tomorrow (July 20).
Campaigners opposed to government plans to move A&E and maternity services from King George in Goodmayes to Queen’s Hospital in Romford will meet at Ilford Central Library in Clements Road, Ilford at 8pm.
As well as a discussion of the current situation at both hospitals, those attending will be asked to sign a petition demanding that the council request the government withdraw its plans for restructuring.
Organisers aim to secure 1,500 signatures which would be enough to trigger a debate on the issue at a meeting of Redbridge Council in Ilford Town Hall.
