A MAN was stabbed in the arm as two men tried to steal his car keys while he made his way to work.
Police have just released details of the incident, which happened in Chigwell on Tuesday (July 9).
The victim parked his grey Vauxhall Astra in Manor Road, a short distance from Grange Hill Tube station, at 7.20am. As he got out of the car, he was approached by two men who tried to steal his keys.
A violent struggle took place, during which the victim received a stab wound to his arm. The suspects left empty-handed.
The two men are described as white and in their early 20s, with London accents, wearing black and white patterned bandanas.
The first suspect was 6ft tall, of slim build with blue eyes and was wearing a black Nike jacket with a distinctive red tick logo on the top left of the jacket and hood.
The second suspect was slightly shorter and wearing a black Nike jacket with white tick logo.
Investigating officer Det Sgt Mick Orr said: "This was a violent attack on a man in an attempt to steal his motor whilst he was on his way to work.
"I ask if anyone recognises this specific clothing or knows who these men may be to contact me.”
