FOOD at the borough’s general hospital has been rated as ‘excellent’.
Assessors from The Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) visited King George hospital in Goodmayes to rate a variety of essential standards.
And, after looking at menu, choice, quality, quantity, temperature, presentation, beverages, service and support, they gave the hospital an excellent rating.
PEAT also visited Queen’s Hospital in Romford and gave food there a similarly high rating.
All other areas assessed by PEAT, including cleanliness, infection control and the patient environment, were rated as ‘good’.
PEAT is a body made up of NHS staff, patients, patient representatives and members of the public.
