OLYMPIC fever will come to Ilford Town Centre on Friday with a programme of family entertainment and a live screening of the Games opening ceremony.
Dancers, street theatre performers and Cbeebies favourites ‘The Vegetable Nannies’ will entertain the crowds in Ilford High Road between 4pm-9pm.
Then at 9.30pm two giant screens will show the opening ceremony.
Food will be on sale at the international food market and many shops will stay open late to help crowds get in to the Olympic spirit.
The screens will remain in place throughout the Games allowing passers-by to watch all the action while they do their shopping.
