DELAYS are occuring in both directions on the A1009 Broadmead Road after a traffic accident near the junction of Charteris Road.
Police are currently at the scene, which is believed to have happened between just before 2pm.
The London Ambulance Service were called to the scene at around 2pm.
Two ambulance crews and a paramedic car treated three patients at the scene, before taking them to Whipps Cross Hospital.
The most serious patient was reported to be a man in his 80s who was suffering with chest pains.
He was taken to hospital as a priority.
The 275 bus service is on diversion.
