PEOPLE dressed as prisoners raised £400 for charity last week when they travelled from Wandsworth to Walthamstow.
The pretend escapees from Wandsworth prison had no money or mobile phones to help them get back to The Lord Brooke pub in Shernhall Street on Sunday, July 22.
Instead the 12 participants sold kisses, busked and even danced while dressed in orange jumpsuits or black and white striped outfits to raise money to get trains and buses back to the pub before 5pm.
Organiser for the Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser Peter dalley said: "It went really well. We didn't get as many people as we'd hoped but they did really well to raise that amount of money. It's a good fun way to raise money and next year we want to see more people take part."
