THE community came together to celebrate the start of the Olympic Games.
Children enjoyed a bouncy castle and paddling pools, while others played football, table tennis and basketball on Saturday.
The party at Rush Croft Sports College in Rushcroft Road, Chingford, was organised by the Walthamstow Stadium Area Residents Association.
There was a long queue for the free manicure and raffle prizes included tickets to watch Arsenal and a stay at a hotel.
Organiser Gail Penfold said: "To see the smiles on so many peoples faces is the greatest reward anyone can receive. Thank you to everyone who helped, who donated prizes and who contributed to making our first social event such a success."
