THE former Miss Congo has won through to the final of a modelling competition.
Amelia Lola, 21, of Dyson Road in Leytonstone, beat more than 100 entrants on her way to reaching the final of Top Model of Colour 2012.
The care home worker, who was crowned Miss Congo in 2010, is hoping to earn a one-year contract with top agency, Mahogany, by wining the final in November.
She said: "I'm really happy and hopefully I have a good chance of winning. It would really help me establish myself as a top model."
