LIVE CCTV footage of key travel routes in the borough has gone live on the council’s website.
The footage is being streamed to help people plan their routes during the Olympic Games.
In addition a number of cameras already available from Transport for London showing key locations in the Borough will be available to view.
The council’s cameras will show
• The A12 junction with Nutter Lane, Wanstead showing traffic through the underpass
• High Street, Wanstead along the High Street towards Cambridge Park Road
• Two cameras showing views of Ilford High Road, one towards the town centre and one towards Seven Kings
• Fullwell Cross roundabout on exits from High Street, Barkingside and Craven Gardens
During the experiment, the council is asking people to vote on whether they would like to see more CCTV feeds.
To view the feeds, visit www.redbridge.gov.uk/london2012 and click on live traffic updates.
