TEN members of Redbridge's Youth Council donned high-vis jackets and cleaned up Ilford town centre.
They joined council leader Keith Prince, on Wednesday (July 25) in a bid to rid Ilford's streets of rubbish.
Abda Kazemi, a member of youth parliament said: "A litter pick may not sound glamorous but it is definitely a fulfilling activity as people appreciate you giving back to the community."
The litter pick is just one of a number of projects that Youth Council Members will be doing throughout the year as part of their In Youth We Trust Campaign.
